Terms of Service

Last updated: September 2026 · draft

These terms govern your use of ServiceProof. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to them.

The service

ServiceProof lets maintenance technicians scan a QR sticker on a piece of equipment to log work, and lets building managers compare that work against maintenance contracts and applicable regulatory minimums. A scan records that someone submitted the code printed on that equipment’s sticker. Like any printed code it can be copied, so a scan is a record of a reported visit, not proof of presence. It is a record-keeping aid; it is not a guarantee that work was performed correctly, that equipment is safe, or that you are compliant with any law. You remain responsible for your own maintenance and compliance obligations.

Accounts

You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your sign-in secure. Organization admins are responsible for managing their members’ access. You must provide accurate information and use the service lawfully.

Subscriptions & billing

Informational nature of compliance features

Regulatory-floor and compliance indicators are provided for information only and are not legal advice. Where a regulatory minimum has not been verified against the primary regulation, it is shown as informational. Always confirm requirements against the applicable codes, permits, and authorities having jurisdiction.

Acceptable use

Don’t misuse the service: no unlawful use, no attempts to breach security or access data that isn’t yours, and no interference with the service’s operation.

Disclaimers & liability

The service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind to the extent permitted by law. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our liability arising from the service is limited to the fees you paid in the 12 months before the claim.

Changes

We may update these terms; material changes will be posted here. Your continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta and the laws of Canada applicable there.
